While some weeks incorporate coaching by outstanding professional musicians, at other times participants gather together simply for freelance playing in the company of professional musicians who join the groups as “participant coaches”. Each player is always encouraged to bring his or her own musical ideas to the group. It is the hope that these musical experiences will offer everyone the opportunity to grow musically and to experience the joy of chamber music playing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
We also like to spend some time learning about the places we visit, places which have a lot to offer in addition to the music. Lasting musical friendships often result from these meetings, of which there have been 40 to date, in North America and several countries in Europe.
